Hello all. I did not see another posting for those of us applying to the U of R SON ABPNN. Has anyone submitted their application yet?

I haven't seen anything yet, but was told to expect a response in late September. The waiting is pretty rough though.

Yup, m chilling till end of September. In the meantime can we introduce ourselves to each other?

my name is Mariam Rasheed and I am from Pakistan, moved to US 7 years back. Have bachelors of business and IT and master of media and mass communication. Don't have healthcare experience but 10 years of experience in radio broadcast. Really looking forward to be a nurse, connect with people and impact their lives positively as I had done by being a radio broadcaster.

Hey everyone! So I just called the u of r to ask them about signing up for pre-reqs and the lady I talked to said we should be hearing back within the next couple of days!! (Hopefully they stick to that)! She also said to check your spam box to in your email because sometimes they get sent there! Just thought I’d update you all. Best of luck!
Also if we’re introducing ourselves, I’m Lindsay! I’m from Rochester born and raised. I got my undergraduated degree in psychology with minors in ethics and management. I also just graduated with a masters degree in mental health counseling. I have been working for the university of rochester at strong memorial hospital in the psychiatric emergency department for a little over 2 years now! So I have a pretty extensive back ground in mental health/psychiatry and in patient care. Even though I just got my masters I decided that I have a passion for nursing too and would love to do both!

im nervous too!! I never got that second interview for the MSN and I know its VERY competitive. Waiting is so tough!!

It's funny. I wasn't nervous when expecting to find out sometime in late September. Now I'm quite nervous.
