Starting a thread for the May, 2018 start date. Does anyone know the timetable for interviews and the process in general? I was hoping to keep in touch with others along the way. Thank you!
Wow, I am sorry to hear that. Who did you interview with?..My interview went nothing like that. I agree it is a very costly investment for a very good school but getting a negative experience from the jump can hinder the choices you make.
I will leave names out of the public thread but I do hope that the university does read this thread and perhaps think about changing how their interviews happen going forward. Like I said before, the interviewers are a representative of their school and they are our first experience/contact with the school and the faculty. As an applicant, the negative experience does make me question whether I should have applied to the school in the first place and whether it will be a good fit for me academically and professionally.
For me it was why nursing, goals, how did I hear about u of R. It was more of what questions I had about the program
Same as FutureMurse, I asked most of the questions so make sure you have a few questions you want answered about UofR. I did have to clarify a few points on my resume and my nursing experiences so make sure you know your resume well.
In what way? Not remembering things about your background (just wondering)? I think about it this way: it would be easy to confuse the applicants when there are back to back interviews. Even if they read your information beforehand, its possible to accidentally recall the dialogue from the the applicant interviewed just prior to you. I would simply correct the misinformation, or supplement missing information, and move on. I imagine they don't get a lot of sleep during this interview process. Prior cohort threads said they were making and fielding calls even on Saturdays during the ramp up to the next session start date. I didn't have your experience, so just throwing thoughts out there? Also, we're not really privy to how many applications they have. If it's 400, and they have 2 months to interview all the candidates, that's quite a full schedule!

Yes, it is an one on one interview but I am not sure if it is the same person or not. Yes, the decisions are released next year according to previous threads. The next few months are interviews for both the ABPNN and a possible second interview if you are interviewing for the AMPNN.
