University of Rochester ABPNN May 2018

Starting a thread for the May, 2018 start date. Does anyone know the timetable for interviews and the process in general? I was hoping to keep in touch with others along the way. Thank you!

Hello everyone I applied to UR abpnn for the fall 2018 and I am afraid of rejection because UR is a very competitive school. This is my stats my GPA is a 3.41 gpa and my prereq GPA is a 3.5 and I have no experience working and volunteering at the hospital. Is possible everyone can tell me their stats and work experience please, because I want to feel hopeful that I have a chance of getting accepted. I also want to know people's background to see if my grades is in the same range as everyone else.

Hi-No idea what their criteria is. I'm not sure if any of us do...

Hi! I am about to enter the Summer UR ABPNN program! My GPA was a 3.4, and my prereq GPA was 3.8! My only relevant work experience was working at a chiropractors office for 4 years. Dont doubt your chances of getting in! I think what helped me was my grades steadily increased from my freshmen year and I had a really good interview! Good luck!

I am so worried because I think I need super high grades to get accepted to UR.

I think it's not all about the grades. If I had to guess, I think my interview helped me a lot. I have no idea how they weigh things. I just focused on writing a standout essay, illustrated how my life and experience would help me, and was very upbeat to everyone I spoke to. It is nerve wracking!

I think everyone that got the interview did good, well in my opinion because the interviewer did not asked challenging questions.

Is it true that applicants that send in all the documents and meet the requirements still get rejected. I feel worried each day and by early June that would be the time when they would accept people from my cohort.

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone knew how admissions weighs their decisions? Do you think it is on the whole applicant, or just grades? I don't have a good GPA, it is probably a 3.2 as of now with three more semesters of undergrad to go. I do have extensive work and personal experience in a few different healthcare settings, though, over the last eight years. My undergrad will be in Health Sciences with a minor in Integrative Approaches to Health and Wellness. I'm not sure if I would be wasting my time by applying due to my low GPA. If any of you are willing to share your gpa, experiences, and undergrad major, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

@eer96 What cohort are you applying for? Are you applying for fall 2018?

Hello, everyone I just find out that I have been waitlisted for the fall 2018 cohort. I want to feel hopeful but it's hard. Do most people get accepted off the wait listed?
