University of Rochester ABPNN May 2015

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Hey everyone !

I applied for the May 2015 ABPNN program and already had my phone interview. I just wanted to post a thread for whoever else is applying for this cycle. If you'd like to share your statistics, information about Rochester, how your interview went feel free! Good luck to everyone!

Hey all,

My name is Megan. This is a bit of a shot in the dark, but after applying for the September 2015 ABPNN program, I just got a call from Nancy yesterday asking if I might be willing to start early with the May Cohort instead (I live locally so I was told this could be a possiblity). While this is SUPER exciting, the short notice (T minus 3 weeks?!) would leave me really scrambling to make sure I'm prepared to start - which includes leaving my full time job and trying to square things up financially. I'm just trying to get a grasp on whether or not I should push to make it work for May so that I don't lose my spot, or decline and hope that I get accepted in September as well - I was told that my application goes back into the pool if I decline for May. Can any current/former students comment on this situation? I don't want to make the wrong decision! I would SO appreciate any advice.... Thanks so much!!

Hey y'all,

I will be apart of the May 2016 cohort and was wondering if any of you know of specific housing that will available (individuals graduating or moving out). There's a good number of us coming from the west coast and me from Texas with zero clue on housing haha.

I know y'all are extremely busy studying and such but it would be a HUGE help!

:)

Hello,

I was accepted into the ABPNN for Sep 2016. I still have not received my packet of information and have some questions that I am sure current and former ABPNN students have all had before.

I'm moving from NYC and currently do not have a car.

I have a 44lb husky-mix dog that I was wondering if I should bring to school with me. I understand if I do this, this will limit my housing choices. Do you think I can take care of a low maintenance dog while I attend the program?

How did you guys go about finding housing? I am interested in Westbrooke commons, and Rustic Village.

Do any of you want to sell your used books to me?

Please DM me if you can help me out. I look forward to attending the University of Rochester. I have heard only wonderful comments about the school.
