Thought I would start a thread for those who are applying for January Cohort.
Glad to hear it, bullberner!Kb4088, will you be around mid October? I'm planning a trip and would love to meet people and get a tour of the city.
Willimina- I should be here! I currently work at Strong/ URMC actually but will be around on weekends as well. Mid-October is the perfect time to visit and get a feel for the city. If you need suggestions on what areas are best to live, I'd be happy to help!
Do you have any any advice or info you wish you had known before you started? How many hours a week do you end up spending on it?
Macallie- Congrats on your acceptance!
I believe there is another discussion group that is for ALL students who have completed or are currently enrolled in the APNN programs. That group may have more answers to your questions.
So, i'm a bit worried about the cold wintery months. I received my acceptance letter, btw congrats to all. I am now in a dilemma. I am from NYC area and deciding whether I should move 6 hours North or 6 hours SOUTH to the Dc area! I've researched both schools and although the other choice has 3 yrs of the BSN under its belt has a highly recognized Masters in Nursing program....Decisions, decisions.
I've been to Rochester before, but I am afraid of my sedan coupe trying to weather the storms up there. I know that this should play a small factor in my decisioning but I want to be extremely comfortable for 12 months. Anyone out there can give insight on how the school and clinical sites handles snow days?? THANKS
