University of Rochester ABPNN/AMPNN May 2014

Nursing Students Post Graduate

Thought I'd start a thread for those applying to the U of R ABPNN/AMPNN programs for the May 2014 start. I went to undergrad nearby and had a wonderful experience volunteering at Strong and U of R is my first choice school for sure. I'm hoping to get accepted to the psychiatric speciality of the AMPNN program. Who else is applying?

Once the bachelors program accepts you the faculty will recommend that you be considered for the masters. They're still waiting to hear the decision for the bachelors program before they interview you for the masters.

Was everyone else told 'end of January' for when we could expect to hear about BSN admissions by?

I think we should know by January because the program starts in May. I am in California, so hope we can know early, so I can prepare for moving

hey guys, i'm having an interview tmr for absn. i heard it's pretty laid-back? i feel like i'm overpreparing myself..

Hey I'm sure you found out how laid back it was! How did the interview go?

I can't wait until January guys

I know I'm triple posting lol but does anyone have any info on where students typically live and the prices of apartments??

I definitely overprepared myself haha. She was super nice and very informative. If i'm not mistaken, I think she said the off campus apt rent ranges $500~800? I forgot the exact #.

Hello guys, keeping my fingers-crossed for everyone. We'll all get in! I'm from Boston and have to find a housing there too.

Hi Cookiedotes,

Have you heard anything from the school? Do they offer you for the second interview? I m still waiting for them.

hi mickeymouse, she said decisions come out by end of january. I don't think I am getting the second interview since I applied for bachelor's only. I am assuming you applied for master's?

How do you guys plan on paying for the program? Does anyone know if they often give out scholarships? That 60 k sounds painful.
