I haven't seen much going on this year in the Oregon nursing (student) forums so I thought I'd check in and see what's going on with everyone!
Also, I got my acceptance letter from UP and wanted to see who else is going to be joining me next spring!! I wish I had gotten the acceptance letter before I gave myself a heart attack trying to apply to OHSU before the deadline though! Haha.
So excited to meet everyone and look forward to hearing your plans!
Given past years, I am really surprised how quiet this group is. No other UP people out there? I wonder how many people were accepted into the program this year.
I'm in!!!! I actually only received my email today-Tuesday in the morning (3/11/14)...BUT I am sooo excited!!! I was jumping for joy and telling everyone!!! I already bought my shoes and appropriate watch and have a stethoscope that UofP approves!!! Ready to get the rest of the gear and supplies and scrubs and get moving! I've been taking my pre-reqs at Clackamas CC and finish off ethics and religion this term-last class tomorrow and then a final! I came across this site by accident and am enjoying this meeting place!
Congrats, Ludie! I was wondering how soon is too soon to start purchasing the necessary items. I have my eye on a smashing glitter stethoscope. Yes. I am THAT girl. I am not ashamed.
Check out their nursing handbook online. It includes all the standards. So long as you follow them you can start gathering the equipment now. Never too early. Especially if you find a sale on the scrubs and lab coat.
I know I'm a little late to the game here, but I was wondering if some of you would be willing to share your GPA with me. I am applying from out of state and I'm having trouble finding the average GPA for admitted applicants. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Tried to seach for it on Facebook and did not see it. Is "University of Portland School of Nursing Spring 2015 " the complete name is it different?
