Hello all! Creating a new thread for the 2021 cycle. I applied and interviewed last year and Pitt is my dream school. Looking forward to meeting you all. Last year I got a call from admissions in February about and interview in March and I imagine that they'll follow a similar timeline.

I haven't received any follow up emails yet either. Let me know if you here something!

Sure!
- GPA: 3.08 overall, 4.0 BSN (I think their website states they look at the nursing GPA) My prior GPA from when I was a student-athlete was obviously garbage but all of those grades were between 5-10 years ago. I don't know how much they look at the past or not. I also have a BA in Psychology.
- GRE: 307 composite (152 verbal, 155 quantitative, 4.0 analytical writing) I had to retake the GRE for the June 1st deadline (what was the May 1st deadline but pushed back due to COVID). They strictly want you to be in the 50th percentile on all three areas of the exam to be eligible to interview.
- Experience: 2.5 years (at time of application) Neurosurgery/Vascular Surgery ICU at an Academic Level I Trauma Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Certifications: CCRN, PALS, ACLS, BLS,
- Miscellaneous: CRNA Shadowing (14 hours over a variety of 7 cases), research through my nurse residency program, various leadership roles (charge nurse, preceptor, unit validator, I'm on three committees at my hospital), a lot of community volunteering as a student nurse and a registered nurse, CRRT superuser, Ultrasound Guided PIV certified, I also made sure to let them know in my interview that I was currently taking a graduate DNP pathophysiology and DNP statistics course through another university to prepare for graduate study.
Hope this helps and best of luck!! ?
