hey guys! I'm a bit confused, maybe someone could help me. How are some of you guys receiving interview invites if the application doesn't close until 4/15? I received an email yesterday stating that they were going to start reaching out mid April- early may.

They do a rolling sort of application, they process them as they come. And if you meet their criteria/ have enough points on their scoring system they will invite you to an interview. The app opened in Dec 2024. I highly recommend requesting to be put on the email list to join in on info sessions they have.

To everyone with interviews and without, how are you preparing?

Because Pitt literally calls in the morning for interviews within the same week. So we have to stay prepared

It was mid- November I believe.
If you go to the info session they basically say that they have sort of point system (for better or worse) that's confidential. They take the top 20 and then the next highest 20 and so on and so forth as interviews dates are set they start making calls.

in some sense, it's better to have submitted earlier because I would imagine for example; I competed against less people, where as someone who applies April 10th would be competing against the whole slew of people that want to attend Pitt. I doubt I would've gotten a call had I waited because there's probably some real try hards that haven't submitted yet LOL
