Hi everyone,
I created this feed for nurses applying to or already accepted to the CRNA program at Pitt that begins January 2020. Has anyone submitted their application yet? Has anyone received a call for interviews? I know it is early in the process but waiting is so hard. If you feel comfortable posting stats, please feel free. Hope to hear from some nurses soon.
I applied last year to this program GPA 3.8 all required courses. PALS, ACLS, CCRN BLS Instrctor, ACLS Instructor, 70 hours of shadow time, and research experience. I was in the 30th -40th percentile on gre and obviously didn't make an interview. I wish they would not base it so highly on the GRE.
From my understanding, the School of Nursing requires at least a 50th percentile on the GRE which is about a total combined score of 300. I am really sorry that you did not make an interview as I do not believe that GRE scores correlates to success but we have to meet these formalities to reach our goals. I am hoping you were able to get into a program.

Congrats on submitting your application!!! I will let everyone know if I hear from them. Im impatient also hueysrock. lol I submitted in November and the wait has been terrible lol. Hopefully we hear something soon. I was told that last year there were not as many applications since switching to DNP. They sometimes do early interviews before the application deadline but I think they may be waiting in order to get more applications in. That is just my hypothesis.
