I did the UofP BSN and MSN programs online and loved them. Excellent instructors and solid reputation. Here are some more opinions:

First I want to congratualte you on making the decision to further your education! I am entering my last class at UOP in the Master of Nursing/ Nursing and Healtcare Education program. I have found it to be a wonderful learning experience. The flexibility of the program allowed me to work through some pretty tough life circumstances that in a traditional format would have led me to drop out of the program. The experience has been life changing for me. I highly recommend the UOP program.

If they expand their programing to offer a PhD online in Nursing Education, I will be signing up. In the mean time I am looking into other online PhD programs.

I am currently enrolled at UoP and due to complete my AA in Health Administration December 23rd. Like KnittWhitt, I have had a superb experience and highly recommend it. When you meet with your enrollment advisor, it will most likely seem overwhelming and extremely complicated, but it really is not. Once you get started and complete your first block of courses, you will know what to expect for all the upcoming blocks. If you have a busy life and flexibility is a must, then UoP will certainly give you the opportunity to reach your goals. GOOD LUCK!!!!

For the most part I've heard good things about the program, but for the cost.

There are other NLN approved online RN to BSN programs that are much cheaper. See the sticky at the top of this forum.

Accessability was the key factor for me. The closest masters course for nursing education in my state was over an hour away and they would only accept full time students. Since going to school full time and not working was not an option, I put off returning to school for several years. UOP has opened doors that would not otherwise have been opened unless I had relocated, which was something we had no interest in doing. I think each person considering UOP needs to look at their life situation and carefully weigh the pros and cons. Sure the expense was a consideration, but the other pros offered by the online format far outweigh it. I have no regrets for choosing the path I did.

I was talking about online, the OP is talking about online BSN programs. The NLN approved 100% online program that I chose was half the cost of UoP. I'm still 7,000 in debt though. LOL

I completely agree. The local Masters program here is a bit irritating to attend and I'm going the online route again. Not choosing UoP, but Walden. I've known many people who have had positive experiences with UoP, so it should definately be considered.

Kudos to you on your graduation!
