University of Pennsylvania Nurse Anesthesia Program, DNP CRNA 2025 Start

Published

Hey everyone, I didn't see a thread for this program yet, so I thought I would start one. I submitted 10/26.

Nursing GPA: 4.0

Science GPA: 4.0

Years of experience: 2+ (1.5 ICU)

Quality of experience: Level 2 trauma center. Medium-sized city.

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC. No CCRN yet.

Let me know who else has applied and we can share our interview invites, acceptances, etc..

@Future-CRNA2024 nothing here yet!! Fingers crossed we all get some good news soon too! Congrats to those who already got an invite !

Do we know if they update our application page if we are not accepted. I have not received an interview invite and was just curious if they would reflect decisions on that page.

thanks and good luck everyone ?

I'm sure at some point the page will reflect the final decision, but with interviews being a process, I'm not sure if it will be until they have the full class and a waitlist.

That being said, I doubt it's over for any of us yet. If decisions go out in April, interviews are likely still going to occur for months.

good luck everyone!

Can you share your stats?

I know someone in Penns current class of 1st year SRNA, so their application cycle was Jan 2022 about a month later then this current cycle. They interviewed mid Jan/early Feb then found out decisions in March so its a quick turn around. Additionally, per a podcast interview with the program director in think it was 2021, they interview about 60-70 out of 140+ applicants for 28 spots. About 2-3 people per spot. I would imagine they interview Dec, maybe early Jan since the holidays are coming up, decisions Feb. Maybe not just estimating based on pervious cohort information!

I applied in late October, and I got an email today (11/29) about an invitation to interview. Anyone else? The dates are next week, which is exciting and terrifying.

Did you have your interview? Any insight can offer?

also, did anyone else hear anything? ?

following as I also applied and have not heard anything! Portal says: materials received. Good luck everyone ?

I did! It was pretty straightforward; the directors wanted to know your interest in the program and guide their clinical questions based on your answers. It flows quickly and nicely, still intense. I felt like I stumbled a lot, but that how I feel all the time with interviews LOL

I just got an invitation to interview today! check your emails

I bet you did great! Do you feel like it was heavy on clinical questions or a blend of both clinical and EI/Personality? I also was offered an interview so just trying to prepare mentally for what to expect.
