Hi everyone, I created a group for UPenn's MPN/MSN program. Good luck!

I have 3+ years of experience as a medical assistant at a reproductive health clinic, and have been a volunteer birth doula for several years. I've heard from current students in the MPN program that it's fairly straightforward to apply to an MSN specialty during the MPN year! I'm guessing Penn wants to see that you have relevant experience and a demonstrated interest in the specialty you're applying to.

And it says "I am pleased to inform you that you have been awarded a total of $25,000 in Penn Nursing Scholarship funds. The total scholarship amount will be funded through various Penn Nursing sources. This award will be disbursed evenly over your four semester program."

So I believe this just applies to the MPN year.

Yay congrats!! I also got $25K. Good point about that only covering the MPN year. I know there are also more opportunities for scholarships and funding for your MSN once you are already in the MPN program.

Yay congrats!! I also got $25K. Good point about that only covering the MPN year. I know there are also more opportunities for scholarships and funding for your MSN once you are already in the MPN program.

I was actually trying to figure that out as well. When do we get a financial aid package or something to give a breakdown of the total cost

Congratulations to everyone who are admitted!! 🙂 Also received my admit into the MPN/MSN for adult-gero acute care!! Really excited, but also quite nervous about the costs. Congrats to those who were awarded $25k scholarship! I received $20k. Upon looking on their website, it looks like fees and tuition are ~$143k for MPN portion. For MSN portion, it would depend on your specialty. For AGAC, it's ~$87k. Has anyone been accepted into AGAC for the MPN/MSN?

I think it said on the application that it's $10K (I think it might only apply to the MPN year). It involves being part of a leadership scholars program with additional activities/work. More info here: https://www.nursing.upenn.edu/admissions/financial-aid/amy-gutmann-leadership-scholars/

The email they sent out this morning says: "All admitted applicants should have received merit award information in their decision letters. You will receive information on the breakdown of your tuition and fees, living expense budget, total cost of attendance, and your financial aid eligibility for each of the 4 terms that you will be here for the MPN portion of your Nursing Program. This information will be sent by February 7th."

I guess even if you applied MPN/MSN they are only sharing MPN financial aid info for now?
