Hi everyone, I created a group for UPenn's MPN/MSN program. Good luck!

Did anyone hear about this yet? I know they updated that the decisions would come out today
Hello! I'm just wondering, for those who have been accepted - have any of you also applied to Boston College and was accepted for their direct-entry MSN/NP Program? I'm having a hard time debating which one of the two to attend now after doing some more thinking. Would love to hear some thoughts if in a similar boat. Thank you! 🙂

Congratulations on your admission to BC, a great university. If you're comparing the BC program to the Penn MNP, however, I think you have an easy choice. Both are private schools, so tuition is high in both places. However, the difference in reputation and ranking for nursing is quite significant. BC is a top 30 school, and Penn is a top 3. This is most salient in research: Penn gets $15m annually in NIH research grants, whereas BC pulls in $3m. Research is just one metric, but it's an important one for top-tier schools. In my opinion, unless Boston (as a city) has a particular appeal based on institutional metrics, Penn is an obvious choice.

Here, I made one: https://www.facebook.com/groups/961282206145719/
@Patrick Spaulding Ryan Thank you so much for taking the time out and providing your perspective! Those are certainly points I've considered. I think one of my main considerations was family life in Philly. Many folks have mentioned that Boston would be a better city to live in and explore compared to Philly. So for me, it's mostly family life vs academics purely. Thank you again.
