Hi All,
I'm new to this site and to the field of nursing. Has anyone gone to this school and if so, what did you think?
I live in San Diego, CA, and there is an online program that this school offers. I'm 3 prerequisites away from applying to the school, with a start date of August 08. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Nicole
Thank you very much!
I am not sure how many we lost. I think we started with 70? And we gained 16 from the cohort ahead of us. Which means we lost 10? We had 76 grads last night. Not sure. But we were the largest cohort so far, the cohort in front of us had only 40 graduate. :)
Wannabe07,Good luck with the program at Sharp....I will keep my fingers crossed for you..it sounds promising.
Out of curiosity, how many of those that started the program with you graduated?
Are there any Glendale alternates who have been invited/received a call to the Orientation?
During the Open House, we were told that there were already a few students who declined and alternates who get invited to the Orientation are pretty much accepted.
My grade to my last prerequisite just got posted and faxed in today - I hope they take me!
how are you all gonna dress at the orientation? did I understand correctly that we are going to tour the labs? how is that possible if the orientation is not at our school?
Just business casual. Maybe jeans and a polo with closed toe shoes as requested. U R right....how do we tour labs when we aren't on our campus? Hmmm interesting
so I went to ACE to change my scrub pants to another kind that is for women...sooo much better. However, when I was ready to pay Iwas told OU does not allow us to buy any other kind even if the color is the same...they want us all to look the same.
I wonder if the students who are already attending the program were told the same but were able to wear other ones ...anyway I did not change them

What you have heard is correct, it is tough right now for new grads. There are not a lot of spots open. I am hoping that they would take a BSN grad over an associates, which will help us, but you never know! Sharp will be opening their new grad program for January in September, and they will be hiring 100 new grads. Hope I'm one of them!!
