Hello! I applied back in 2020 to the full time FNP program at UNG and got accepted. Due to work/life at the time I decided not to pursue the acceptance. I have finally decided to look into going back to FNP school and have questions about the full and part-time program.
If you are a current or former student for either the full or part-time program could you please share your experience? I have had a hard time finding anything new for this program specifically.
I am just wondering about the work/life balance with each program, if you felt that the program structure was good (support, staff availability for questions, etc.), and more specifically about the "Tuesday" or "Thursday" meeting day. Is this in person or online? How many times a semester do you meet?
Thank you for any and all replies 🙂

Oh sorry! I didn't not answer the rest of your question! It was on zoom, but they did give the option for a phone call if zoom wouldn't work! I think I submitted my application back in August and heard towards the middle of September!

Hey! No they didn't ask me about my statement at all. It wasn't super long! Mine lasted maybe 20 mins but some of that included just casual chatting too. Don't be nervous you got this!

Of course! And don't be nervous! I am sure you will do great! They did not ask about my personal statement either. My interview was also around 20 minutes and some of that was also just spent talking about my goals and things! Just like a light conversation! I definitely overthought how it was going to go and it wasn't bad at all! If it is the same person who did my interview she was very nice!

Yeah I was hoping to see more about UNG on this page too! You must have been right behind me. I was number 7 LOL.
Mallory and Jesse. My name is Liza, I deferred my acceptance last year to UNG FNP and am to decide if it should accept to start May 2026. I feel nervous to accept, I'm curious if you have gotten any feedback about how UNG handles clinical placement? I heard it's a real stuggle with most FNP programs.

Hey! So now that we have accepted I haven't heard anything from the school as far as the program goes.
I think almost all the programs have challenges with clinical placement. I've heard they will assist but I think it's more up to you do find them.

Hey! From my understanding in the Q&A thing we watched virtually it sounds like they do help with clinical placement! But, if you know people they encourage you to utilize those people if you are able to!

Thanks for responding. Another fear of mine is over saturation. Do you worry too or have you heard anything more promising about that.
Are you both local to UNG? I'm in Upstate, SC.
Are you doing full time or part time FNP track?

I am about an hour south of UNG. I do see alot of comments and talk about oversaturation but I also am constantly looking at job openings and feel that there is a handful of opportunities around metro Atlanta. I would be doing part time

I am also doing the part time track! I also live about an hour from the UNG campus in GA. I have also periodically checked the job market and I always see available positions! My sister-in-law also graduated from FNP school (not UNG) this Summer and was able to find a job without issue. She had 2 offers out of school. So I definitely think the jobs are out there and when we do clinical's and things it is always an opportunity to network! 🤗

Hi! It was on zoom and I think I heard back like the next day saying they got everything they needed and sent the link to schedule the zoom.
I got my email on a Thursday, the interview was on the following Tuesday, and I got a email with the acceptance on Wednesday.
