University of North Florida Regular BSN Fall 2015

Posted

Hi! I am applying for Fall 2015 at UNF. I just took the TEAS this morning and added up my score to 352.6. My prerequisite GPA is 3.96 with an overall GPA of 3.93. Anyone else applying? Are there any current students out there who have recommendations? I was wondering if I should maybe take the TEAS again just to bump up my score just a little bit more. Opinions help!

Hi! I was accepted for this summer. Your stats are more than enough to get in. I had a 3.7 pre reqs GPA and 337 on TEAS. Rememeber, the interview is 50% of entrance.

Hi! I just found this post. I am also applying for fall 2015. I had applied for the RPL originally but am being considered for ACPL because I will have my bachelors this fall. I was wondering what you were doing to prepare for the interview if we get one (Hopefully!)

I graduated with my BSN at UNF! Your stats are awesome, you will be fine. Good luck!

I would Google questions that are normally asked in a nursing school interview. Practice with family or friends, I had interviewed for jobs before so it wasn't as much of an issue for me. It's also a group interview and not quite as nerve wracking for me.

I am applying for RPL.

My Pre-req GPA is 3.7 and my TEAS is 80%, I didn't add up my sub scores to figure out the UNF score but I did just get an e-mail today stating I got an interview! :)

I got an interview e-mail today also rsiffra! What time is your interview at?

I got an interview as well! Mine is at 11:30

Mine is at 11:30 also!

Are you applying for the Accelerated or regular program?

Accelerated but I wouldn't be upset about getting into regular either haha

Same! lol do you know how that works? Are we automatically considered for both or if we don't get in to the accelerated then thats it for us? I'm confused on that whole thing.

We will be considered for both. If we aren't in the top 32 (or so, can't remember exact number) for the accelerated applicants, we can be considered for regular automatically. So it just gives us more of an opportunity to get in which is nice. I'm not picky. I'd be happy with either one!

Oh ok that makes sense. Thanks for explaining!

Hello everyone! I was a little bit on the fence about joining this conversation as I get a little intimidated by the high teas scores 😅 but I am literally so anxious for June to pass! This seems to the most active thread so I was just curious to see HOW EXCITED AND OR NERVOUS everyone is! I am fresh out of high school and just got my AA through an early college program and let's just say my teas is not up there and my pre reqs GPA could be better. However, I did get an interview @ 930! Anyone else? I'm sooo nervous because I have yet to gain any experience but nursing has been the only thing I've wanted to do! :nailbiting:

Well, interview is worth 50% of your admission at this point so just rock it! Don't let other scores intimidate you. I'm pretty nervous and super excited but I'm trying to relax about the interview as much as I can

Hi, I can clarify this for you. You are automatically considered for both. So depending on your ranking after interviews you will be offered APL, RPL, waitlist or denied. Hope this helps!
