University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG) Fall 2023

Published

Hi everyone. Just wondering if anybody else has received an offer of admission and accepted the offer for UNCG cohort starting Fall 2023. I have created a facebook page for our Cohort. I will attach the link as soon as possible. Please join if you would like.

Hi everyone!! Congrats to everyone that got in! I am looking to potentially apply next year and hoping someone here might be able to help clarify UNCG's admission requirements? Or have a good contact for someone at the program I could reach out to? I tried to email two of the people listed on the program website and heard nothing back.

The admissions FAQ's say "Pediatric ICU and Neonatal ICU experience is accepted as long as the applicant also has experience in adult critical care" which is kind of vague. I'm currently at a CICU that is in a Children's Hospital but about 10% of our patients are actually adults that need follow-up care/surgery for CHD. We all have to have both our PALS and ACLS because of this. I am just trying to figure out if this would be considered enough "adult critical care" experience that it would be worth trying to apply, or if my application will just get trashed immediately LOL.

Any info is appreciated, thanks!

I would reach out to the program director, she would be able to give you the best answer.

I'm pretty sure she is one of the people I tried to email a while ago and never heard anything back... But I can try to follow up.

I know this is an old thread and a long shot but could anyone accepted/ at UNCG now possibly drop their Instagram @ so I can send a DM and ask some questions. Thanks in advanced.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give any insight on the clinical questions asked. I'm not looking for specifics, but generalizations. Did they base them off your experience or was anything truly up for grabs? What it more about medications, or conditions? Was there any math? etc. Thanks!

Hey guys! Very random but how late did some of the waitlist candidates here back for the cohort last year for 2023? I've been on the waitlist since November for the 2024 cohort and thought I would have gotten a rejection letter by now since it's the end of April. It's  been very hard getting an answer from the graduate office and just would like to plan my next steps for reapplying and not hold out hope on getting in this year. Any information you guys have would be helpful. Thank you

I think they accepted 40 students for the incoming class. They start in a couple weeks. Definitely reapply! I was a waitlister who reapplied and got in. Hope this helps! Best of luck!

I took your advice and Just got another interview for this year! Any advice or tips for people that re interview the second time? Did you feel like it was the same as your initial interview?

congratulations!! And no my interview wasnt the same as it was the first time b/c they said they changed up the interview structure for the first time when I was interviewing. I would say brush up on CCRN content and maybe know about a few of the common anesthetic drugs/receptors (thats what my aunt suggested when I was asking her how to prepare and it ended up being super helpful)
