I was accepted with 3.5 total years of experience, 1.5 in ICU, 3.6 GPA, 326 GRE, CCRN. No charge or committee exp because I have moved jobs a lot/traveled, but I did go on an international medical trip that I talked about in my app which I think they liked. Are you looking to apply this year?

I interviewed yesterday, and they said this was the last round, so hopefully they will be able to review everyone that hasn't been offered a seat yet and start sending out more acceptances! An SRNA also mentioned that they are planning to accept a larger class this year, which is only half full so far, so fingers crossed for good news! :)

Hi everyone! Congrats to those that got in. Applications just opened up for next year and I am curious how you all went about formatting your personal essay portion of the application? Maybe I am overthinking it but I'm not sure if I should try to write a cohesive essay addressing all 7 things they ask, or if it is okay to just break them up into individual answers? Thanks ?

Hi everyone!! Congrats to everyone that got in! I am looking to potentially apply next year and hoping someone here might be able to help clarify UNCG's admission requirements? Or have a good contact for someone at the program I could reach out to? I tried to email two of the people listed on the program website and heard nothing back. The admissions FAQ's say "Pediatric ICU and Neonatal ICU experience is accepted as long as the applicant also has experience in adult critical care" which is kind of vague. I'm currently at a CICU that is in a Children's Hospital but about 10% of our patients are actually adults that need follow-up care/surgery for CHD. We all have to have both our PALS and ACLS because of this. I am just trying to figure out if this would be considered enough "adult critical care" experience that it would be worth trying to apply, or if my application will just get trashed immediately LOL. Any info is appreciated, thanks!
