Congrats to everyone who got accepted...

...I think my chances are slimming down as time continues

I wouldn’t think like that. They give students 2 weeks to pay a hefty deposit and the ones that don’t leave room for more acceptances ?

@Drea824 I also applied at Barry. I have an appointment with the nursing advisor the 9th of next month to find out if they will sub a class for me also to find out if I have to take the Kaplan or Teas and when they will give the test. Question what were your stats, did you take the Kaplan also. Do you have any class pending?

Nice! Everyone I have dealt with there has been very nice. 3.86 undergrad, 4.0 prerequisites. Microbio lab and lecture and statistics pending. I would also have to take their biomedical ethics class and a computer class or equivalency test ? (the computer thing is super annoying to me). What class are you trying to sub? Yes, I had to take the Kaplan. They don't look for a certain score, I think they are just testing general competency.

@Drea824 I’m trying to sub my Geography for Sociology. As far as the biomedical ethics I’m trying to take online at a different school in central Florida, but I can’t find any available seats since all the classes are full. How long did it take you for you to get accepted there?

@Drea824 congrats!!!! I’m actually starting to freak out a bit.. UM Is the only school I applied to

@Racheldud keeping my fingers crossed you hear good news in the next round! and everyone else who is still waiting too! ?

@Mr.lucky1 well I did it all in time to be considered for "early acceptance" to the AO while they were working on admissions for the fall Traditional applicants, so your timeline will be different. But I can tell you that back in April when I was deciding whether or not to pursue the early acceptance route, Teresa had told me that if I wanted to wait, they would be doing testing and interviews again in September 2019 for the Spring 2020 applicants. I didn't want to wait until September so I got all of my materials in quickly at that time. May 16th Kaplan, June 4th interview, June 7th acceptance email. I hope that helps!

@Racheldud fingers crossed for you!!!! And to everyone else waiting for a response. I know the hardest part is playing the waiting game, but things will fall in to place one way or another. Despite what school, the end goal remains the same - becoming a nurse!!

Some other schools in Florida should be opening their application periods up sometime soon for Spring 2020 (FSU, for example). Doesn’t hurt to add some eggs to your basket just in case!!!

Congrats to everyone who got accepted today. The next decisions are going to be made in the next 3 weeks. I called admission today and they relayed that information to me. If you didn’t get notified today keep your head and don’t give up.

I think creating the Facebook account will be a great idea too.

Did everyone receive an email once their application status changed to complete? I know that my NursingCAS is complete and verified, but my CaneLink status hasn't changed
