Anyone applied for University of Miami this year?

Specializes in Tele Nurse.

I didn’t get any notification from any of them. I just checked my Canelink and it changed from incomplete to complete.

General question: did everyone who applied already get an email with a Cane Link login? I haven't gotten any emails from UM, just wondering if that's just because they haven't reviewed my app yet, or if something might be wrong.

Just now joining and going through the thread and saw your comment. If someone has already given you this info then u can disregard but I had the same issue where it had been over a month and I hadn’t received my cane link info... so I called and spoke to Anna Castro who told me that I should have received it by now. She then told me to contact IT- which I did- and they gave me the information over the phone.

Hello everyone!

Just discovered this thread. I discovered yesterday (6/21/19) that I was accepted to the ABSN 2020 cohort.

For anyone wondering... I applied late March/early April. I really don’t remember the exact date and didn’t receive any emails updating me along the way.

After my application was verified it took about a month for me to receive the “Thank you for applying... you will receive your Cane-link log information soon” email from UM. I never received this email and ended up calling them informing them that it had been well over a month since my application was verified (it was verified quickly by NursingCAS) and I still hadn’t received my canelink info. I then had to call IT who provided me with the information. (Sorry but I don’t recall when that was either bc I had a lot going on and I had the mindset that I applied super early and wouldn’t hear back until after the deadline- so of course I was shocked when I received my acceptance letter yesterday (6/21). I received an email telling me that I had a new message in the canelink message center.

I had searched for a thread previously but couldn't find one. If I would have found this thread earlier I would have known that many people apply early in the year and hear back before the application deadline.

Does anyone have any idea what our start day is or when our orientation is scheduled for?

@erose29 I believe I read somewhere that orientation is like a week before classses start, but I’m not sure when classes actually begin.

Side note - has anyone made a FB group yet? If so, let me know. ?

I dont believe anyone has made a group just yet but if all those that have been accepted want to leave me their names with a description of their profile pictures I can make it!
