Hello everyone, I just wanted to start this thread for anyone interesting or planning on applying to UM for spring 2015. I am finishing up the pre-requisites I need...doing micro class and lab. So far those are the only things I know I have to take. I'm extremely nervous, mainly because of the waiting game to see if I'm accepted or not.
I had to take over class, so I am not too happy about that either, so that also makes me a little down.
Also when I called the other day, someone said they are changing the application process, did anyone else hear that information?
Are you guys finish with all your pre-requisites?
Do you know how much repeating a class puts you in the hole for not getting accepted?
I've heard from previous ABSN students that you don't need to get every textbook, because there's physically not enough time to do all of the readings. I was told that the power points are thorough and what we will be studying pretty much.
I got an email from the nursing department regarding books, uniforms, and laptop requirements about a week or so ago. If you need the email I can forward it to you. Have you heard anything from Financial aid?

I just found out yesterday that Ive been accepted. Still haven't received any emails about uniforms, books and etc. I'm kinda anxious since theres little time left and tons of things to do. Could you please forward me that email you received too? Thank you!
I'm wondering what books we actually need. I don't mind buying something we will use but it would be a big waste of money to buy something that we may never even use.
I'm so glad I found this page. My name is Jessi and I got accepted 2 weeks ago. They just posted my schedule for this Spring. Earliest class is at 8. Anyway, I'm so worried because I still can't access my financial aid. Is anyone else having a problem with this?

Don't forget about the clinicals that will start at 7:00am) The Financial Aid will become available only after the 15th of December, I called today. And congrats on your acceptance!
I forgot about the 7 am Clinicals. I just checked my Financial Aid and it is still not there. I'll call them later. Oh and thanks for the Facebook link. I don't have a FB though, lol.
