Hello everyone, I just wanted to start this thread for anyone interesting or planning on applying to UM for spring 2015. I am finishing up the pre-requisites I need...doing micro class and lab. So far those are the only things I know I have to take. I'm extremely nervous, mainly because of the waiting game to see if I'm accepted or not.
I had to take over class, so I am not too happy about that either, so that also makes me a little down.
Also when I called the other day, someone said they are changing the application process, did anyone else hear that information?
Are you guys finish with all your pre-requisites?
Do you know how much repeating a class puts you in the hole for not getting accepted?
Thanks sawa002! So they did change the application process. I applied before this change, so I will just call to make sure everything is set.
The NursingCAS application opened on August 1st. I'm still making sure all of my requirements are uploaded and ready for submission. Thankfully, I don't we do not need to submit a supplemental fee to UM. How did you manage to apply before August?
I am applying for the Accelerated BSN for spring 2015. So far I have had to call Nursing CAS and University of Miami on several occasions because they messed up on differentiating between undergraduate and graduate programs. It is important to follow up with both to be sure that the University of Miami can see your application. Has anybody else had similar issues? Has any body had any luck yet on the GPA verification of the nursing CAS application?
Hello Everyone! I am also in the process of completing my application in Nursing CAS for Spring 2015. I took all my pre reqs already, I'm just working on the academic recommendation letter, and waiting on my official transcripts to be received. Do any of you guys know how long it takes for Nursing CAS to receive transcripts? I'm very anxious as well, UM is my number 1 choice, so I have a lot riding on this opportunity :) Good Luck to Everyone!
Hello! I am currently doing pre req's.. I have quite a few classes to go but I am in no rush. Does anyone know if it HAS to be statistics in health care? Or will a regular stats course cover that requirement? Because on the brochure and in the FAQ's on the website it just says "statistics", but on the main accelerated nursing page it says intro to statistics in healthcare. I could call but it's the weekend, so I was hoping for a quicker response.
