  1. Thank you so much for your reply! I recently received an offer at a nursing home and have just been debating whether it will be a right move or not. Any advice going into it you would share?
  2. How has your experience been so far?
  3. I applied and received a confirmation e-mail stating they had received my application, that they were going to select candidates for panel interviews and decisions would be mailed out on 12/20/14... at this time I have not received any e-mails/notifications for any interviews... and I've asked other candidates as well, and they have not received anything either
  4. The money factor plays a big role in my decision as well, I applied to NOVA and UM- Got accepted to both/ come to find out NOVA is more $$$ because it's a traditional program that lasts 2.5 years but it is much closer to my home (I live in Fort Lauderdale- have a mortgage, family, and kid!) so I see where you're coming from. I think at the end of the day, I will go with UM because they have a great reputation, the program is tailored for individuals with completed undergraduate degrees... even though it is expensive, and in this case far from me.. it is still something that I am willing to invest my time, money, and sanity lol to be able to be an RN and a cane
  5. Congratulations on everyone who has been accepted so far! I also received my acceptance notification via CaneLink last week thursday I'm so excited! Anyone that is still waiting on UM's decision, keep your hopes up! I think they're doing it in order of applications (whoever turned in theirs first). I see a lot of you guys have been commenting on living arrangements. I live in fort lauderdale so it will be quite a commute for me- I can't move any closer because I own my home and have a family, so I'll have to suck it up with the traffic for the duration of the program. For those that had been accepted a couple of weeks back, can you guys share what you have done so far since turning in your deposit? thanks!
  6. @chelypeppr yes I called NursingCas and they stated on their end everything has been submitted and that is an issue that needs to be address with UM. I'm going to call UM again tomorrow and see if they can provide any other information
  7. I also sent in my application from NursingCAS about 3 weeks ago and still have not received any word from UM. I called today regarding CaneLink, and the lady told me to call Nursing CAS -___- so confused now...
  8. Thank you for the advice, I'm preparing for possible interview questions as we speak
  9. Im so nervous too! I'll meet you tomorrow, we should try to link up :-)
  10. I submitted my application to NursingCAS about a week ago and I haven't heard anything from either UM or NursingCas. I called yesterday to find out more info, and NursingCAS advised me it would take another additional week for them to calculate my GPA since they're still working on applications that were submitted at the very beginning of Sept... and until they have done so they can't forward my application to UM. So i'm patiently waiting -___-
  11. That's comforting to hear! How was your experience?! Thanks for sharing
  12. Thanks for your willingness to help others! I submitted my application through NursingCAS earlier today. They've already received my transcripts, so I guess now they'll start doing the gpa calculations? About how long did it take you to receive a letter from UM after you submitted your application?
  13. I signed up for the one on the 23rd, good luck on yours and let us know how it went! :)
  14. Hey, I finished all my pre reqs as well and apply about 3 weeks ago. I received an invitation for an interview. They did encourage to apply as soon as you can, when I went to their open session.
