University of Memphis (LCON -The Loewenberg College of Nursing) Spring 2018

Hi I will be applying to the University of Memphis - Loewenberg College of Nursing for the Spring 2018 semester. Thought I'll make a thread for everyone else who will be applying for this semester and we can share updates and stats with each other :) super nervous because my stats are not the highest but was told it really depends on who all applies with you for that semester. Heard stories about people getting in with a 2.8 to a 3.2 so it depends but Good luck to everyone and God bless!

Okay, good to know. I did go to Transfer Day for UofM recently. One of the staff members explained that there has been some chairmen from the nursing dept who've stepped down. So they're trying to get things handled with that and it may delay the decisions and arrival of acceptance letters. I am unsure how factual that is, but I don't think she would have a reason to lie. I was pretty bummed when I heard that news. She also gave me the number to the lady who deals with the acceptance process and I've tried calling her many times to see if she has a estimated day that we would hear back. However, I haven't been able to reach her. Soooo yea.. more waiting I guess.. Grrr..

I just came across this thread. I have also applied for the Spring 2018 nursing class. I emailed them, I guess it was the middle of October, and they told me everyone would know by November 15th at the latest. So hopefully any day now! It is killing me to wait. I probably check my email ten times a day. This is my second time applying. The first time I did not get in because I had not finished all my prerequisites. Good luck to everyone!

I am also graduating this summer with a B.A. in Psychology. My plan, if I do not get into the Spring 2018 nursing class, is to apply for the accelerated program either at Memphis or Union.
