University of Memphis Hopefuls

Hi. Is there anyone applying to the University of Memphis nursing program for Spring '14?

Specializes in Pediatrics, Med-Surg, Infectious Disease.

Hi I got everything in way before deadline. I did receive 2 emails saying all my things were in including transcripts. I had also been in touch with my advisor and she told me that my app had already been fwd to SON for review. I talked to her yesterday and she told me it was still under review by committee. Still no letter yet! Amyinga I cleared my inbox lol! Congrats to all on getting accepted. I guess I'll just wait but keep looking into other options as well. One of my coworker applied last year and wasn't accepted but then for that next semester they contacted her to see if she was going to reapply, she did and was accepted. She just finished the first year and loves it!!

I finally heard from BCHS today and my file is still under review…..

I got my letter from the school saying I was accepted today!!!

I talked to one of the deans and she told me why I wasn't accepted. I really appreciated that and she was very honest with me in letting me know how to improve and be more competitive.

Aww! Thank you so much! I'm just glad I was able to speak with someone and get the exact reason for denial. I believe that when one door closes another one is opened. So I'll be walking through that door, completing the program at south university. Good luck to you all!!

Anyone received a letter yet? I have a co-worker who got an acceptance letter yesterday (to the U of M FNP program). I finally called & was told that the "first round of letters" already went out & that a second round of letters were just sent out yesterday. Not sure what that means exactly, but I guess we should hear something soon. I was told if I do not hear anything by Tuesday to call back.
