University of Maryland CRNA 2020

Nursing Students SRNA

Updated:   Published

Anyone apply to University if MD CRNA DNP program to begin 2020? Here are my stats in case anyone wants to compare:

3 years experience Shock Trauma ICU in level 1 trauma center

3.7GPA, 4.0Science GPA

CCRN, TCRN, PALS, ACLS

30+ CRNA shadowing hours

Possibly that’s not the last date? Hard to say. This process of waiting and not knowing how they operate is tough lol

I know that it's very frustrating to wait for any information, positive or otherwise. I'm not entirely sure why they leave people on the line waiting for a non-acceptance, but perhaps there are reasons for this that are not transparent to us.

This is just my two cents as an applicant at this stage of the game, about two weeks from the designated interview dates. Those of us who granted interviews a month or so ago were told at that time. A few people have been granted interviews within the past few days and a current student in the program shared information that if those who had been offered interviews earlier declined them, then the program would try to fill those spots.

The interviews will be conducted the first and second weeks of November.

At this point, I don’t think it really matters what the application says. I did not get an interview either and haven’t checked the application status for over a month now.
As they say, “many are called but few are chosen.” We all definitely have good stats and believed in ourselves and that’s what encouraged us to apply, but at the end, it’d either be an acceptance or rejection and we just have to accept it. When the first invitation of interviews went out, I still had some hopes coz I thought may be they had not reached my application since it wasn’t completed till the last day. At this point, I have completely given up....

Does anyone have a sense of how long interviews are?

Has anyone received an actual rejection letter or email, not even being offered an interview? I’ve pretty much given up by now too, but still haven’t received anything.
