Moving this topic from General Nursing to Pre-Nursing Student Forum!
Does anyone have any experience in applying to the University of Kansas BSN program? I am a 2012 grad from KU, who will have a pre-req GPA of about 3.2 if my last two prerequisites go well! I will complete my MBA from Baker University in July of this year with a 4.0 but am a bit worried about my lack of volunteer work and somewhat low GPA for my undergrad!
I know I will have amazing references and a great essay but does anyone have experience in applying to KU's nursing program and if so, what advice/recommendations would you give??
I also plan to apply to UMKC's accelerated program, MidAmerica Nazarene accelerated program and Bakers Traditional Program! I have been looking into getting a CNA certification as well and getting some experience there (Thanks to recommendations from this site!)

My friend's sister attends KU for nursing. She completed her pre-reqs at Wichita State and got accepted into the university of kansas medical center. I don't think she did any volunteer work and she does not have a CNA certification. You should definitely call to check.
I'll definitly give them a call on that. Thank you!!
