University of Kansas- CRNA interview tips please!!!!

Published

Hi everyone,

Please helps me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going for the interview for the CRNA program in a week. I am very stress out and overwhelmed right now. Any tips so I can be more focus and relax, it would be greatly appreciative. Thank a bunch...

Laplace did you get booted? Or a close friend of yours get booted?

Second your opinion, only use KU as an absolute last resort. A lot of inbreeding...and since thier requirements are so low they get a lot of the bottom of the barrel. Overall they should be discontinues as a program. It is horrid.

I hope your friend wins her lawsuit!!!! I wasn't impressed with their attorney (Jay at the time). My attorney was by far better. Wish there was a way to PM you. Congrats on finishing that hell hole.

Hey contact me ... my email is [email protected]. I want to speak with you about a few things it would be greatly appreciated.

What exactly happened? Lifeasagas. You seem to be pretty vocal about deterring potential applicants to this program, but you haven't said EXACTLY why or what happened.

If you read my 1st post I stated that KU gives you excellent clinical experience. You are used as staff. As stated by the other poster a staff doc literally put their hands on a student while I was there as well and nothing was done to the doc. A 2008 graduate killed themselves. It wasn't the first. If you look at the 05 class literally they all left but 4 or 6 of them. In 2006/2007 the program was investigated and on probation. Maybe it has been cleaned up. Laplace can probably awnser that as her post is the most current.

This was more than 10 years ago... I hope now it's not as bad as you say it was before. If I was that student I sure as hell wouldn't let anyone put hands on me without a fight, physically for self defense or in court. That's for damn sure.

Laplace can probably respond better to the current environment as he/she may have been more recent.

I interviewed this year and was accepted. Interview was still 2 panels; 8 faculty and two 3rd year SRNAs. While waiting for the interview, 1st and 2nd year SRNAs talked with you and answered questions about the program. There was a hand written writing prompt. No clinical questions during interview, more of a get to know you interview. Everyone was very nice and friendly. It was not about your knowledge base, they wouldn't have given you an interview if they didn't think you had enough experience. I believe they are looking for the "right fit" for their program, so be yourself and if you are a good fit you will get in. Everyone I met there was friendly, professional, and positive.

Hi there, what was the hand writing written prompt look like?
