University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) DNP Fall 2021

Published

It is early, but Fall 2021 admission applications are now open. I start things fairly early. This is the only school I'm applying to. I am going the FNP route. I'll also attend their virtual application workshops coming up here in August. I visited the campus and spoke to faculty in the first semester of my BSN program and I graduate in December. I never see enough information about student life at this school so if you are a former student, how often were you on campus? If you are applying, will it be full time or part-time? What specialty are you applying for? I wish everyone luck.

Hi guys,

I received an email that I was basically accepted too! Congrats to everyone! I can make a general UIC DNP Fall 2021 group. Would anyone be interested in joining that?

On behalf of the faculty and the Graduate Admissions & Academic Standards Committee of the College of Nursing, it is our pleasure to inform you that prior to the Office of Admissions officially entering the University decision, you are recommended for admission into the Doctor of Nursing Practice program for fall 2021.

anyone knows how often and how many days at a time during a semester we should go for an online DNP course?

Hi!

I think it depends on the courses. Advanced health assessment has a lab so that would already require one to show up to campus more often compared to adv. physiology that only requires you to show up for exams (maybe exams will be online still d/t COVID). Hope this helps!

Thanks for response. I am searching for any curriculum of FNP even though it is for the previous cohort, I cannot find at all.

Typically UIC doesn’t post any plans of study, from what I know, since it’s all individualized. They post what classes you need to take. So I think we’re going to have to wait until we get an advisor assigned and then they’ll work with us and tell us what we need to sign up for. I think it also depends on if you’re full or part time and whether or not you want to finish in three or five years.
