  1. Typically UIC doesn’t post any plans of study, from what I know, since it’s all individualized. They post what classes you need to take. So I think we’re going to have to wait until we get an advisor assigned and then they’ll work with us and tell us what we need to sign up for. I think it also depends on if you’re full or part time and whether or not you want to finish in three or five years.
  2. Hi! I think it depends on the courses. Advanced health assessment has a lab so that would already require one to show up to campus more often compared to adv. physiology that only requires you to show up for exams (maybe exams will be online still d/t COVID). Hope this helps!
  3. Hi guys, I received an email that I was basically accepted too! Congrats to everyone! I can make a general UIC DNP Fall 2021 group. Would anyone be interested in joining that? nursinghopeful, keep your head up! You’re an amazing nurse and you’ve worked so hard! I’m sure you’ll get accepted too!
  4. Thanks! Just to clarify, your acceptance is to the MSN program at UIC, right? Did you apply to the DNP program too?
  5. Hi Sandy, I’m assuming you received your acceptance email from the UIC MSN program right? I have no idea what’s going on. From my understanding, they always went in order. PhD notifications in February, DNP in early to mid March and then MSN toward the end of March. Then finally the BSN in April. This is frustrating to say the least.
  6. Mine still says additional review required. It’s been saying that for me for about a week or so now. I wonder if everyone’s status is different due to applying to different specialties? Maybe different people are involved, I’m not sure. I applied to Rush too and heard back from them a long time ago. msjean, mine said that before and then it switched to additional review required. I completed my BSN and MSN at UIC. During my MSN program, I only showed up for exams and for adv. health assessment lab. Otherwise, everything is online. Not sure how the DNP compares. I’ll be working full time and attending the program part time unless something changes for me. Anyone else apply to the acute care program? Sending positive thoughts to all you guys!!
  7. Hi everyone, I applied to the acute care program. My application also says additional review required. I was told we’d know by no later than mid-March which is now. But hopefully we’ll know soon! best of luck!
