Congrats to all of us who got accepted (I'm hoping everyone I've met and talked to on here got in)!:yeah:

Thanks kstar.This will be much easier than bouncing between the other threads.So now I have a whole new set of questions:

1.Were you guys able to email the acceptance acknowledgement?Since our signature was required I printed it, filled it out then scanned it but it scans as a photo file so I was considering just faxing it Monday.

2.This will be my very first time recieving financial aid so I didn't know if we were supposed to register before we were awarded money or wait.Any ideas?

3.And books...we need 16 from what I counted for this first semester.OMG!!!LOL.I'm going to start purchasing them but for the rest I will need the financial aid money.Any advice?As I mentioned before, I'm totally inexperienced with the financial aid process so forgive me if these questions seem redundant.

i have NO idea about finacial aid... pwr was concerned with that too. im not sure if he has any answers.

as for the acknowledgement letter, i printed it, filled it out, and faxed it to them already. i would just do whatever makes you feel comfortable about it! i might send it again just in case!

as for the books, maybe you could find some books online that are used. they might be cheaper.

and im still working on the fingerprinting thing! sorry i wasnt very helpful about the finaicial aid... maybe you could contact uhv fin aid office and they could help you or give you answers to your questions. http://www.uhv.edu/ofa/

As far as books, I usually buy used books online without problem but I specifically remember Dr.Dune saying don't buy used books because we need the software that comes with them.Then today as I was going through the book list, I noticed that we are only required to have the software for 3 of the books.So now I'm wondering if I should just get those 3 brand new and maybe buy the others used or just play it safe and buy all of them brand new.IDK.I'll figure it out.LOL.

Right now I'm still excited about getting accepted;-)

OH YEAH! sorry, i completely forgot about the used books thing, DUH! i think im still in shock because my brain is totally not working today - haha! yeah, i expect they will be getting a lot of faxes/emails/calls on monday!

I am in your position, only I have received financial aid in past years. I received it for my first degree but every school awards the money differently according to their policy and affiliated lenders. I would like to know if and when we will be able to accept our awards/loans.

I filled out the scholarship application....is that all we have to do to be considered for scholarships?

Second...I just sent my confirmation of acceptance as I had difficulty with getting the fax to send. So my question is will my pending or incomplete status change soon? I am asking because I can't register yet, has anyone registered for classes?

I asked about the problems enrolling and the advisors got back to me and stated to hold off on enrolling because they will be sending an e-mail out on the 17th about instructions for the registration of classes. Don't worry, you aren't the only one. From what they said, they are in the process of trying to change everyone's statuses that were accepted and those who were denied. I got excited too, haha.

Also, I went looking for a new stethoscope and a medical supply store carries Littman (I'm sure some, if not all of you have heard of the brand...which is the best in stethoscopes) and they have one that has a dual head for adult and pedi usage. It's originally $69 but the store said if there are at least 10 of us, they'll give is 15% off :) The only thing is that we have to order by the end of this week. If you're interested, please let me know so I can make a list of everyone who is interested. In regards to the stethoscope orders, you can go to the store and pay for your own if you'd like but it's on 1960, near Fallbrook and Jones Rd., called The Med Shop. The only thing is that I will have to send them a list of everyone who has agreed to buying from them and you will go there and present your ID.

Don't worry, you don't have to pay me in advance or anything. :) haha.
