University of Houston 2nd Degree BSN Spring 2019

Hello everyone, I'm not sure if anyone has made a thread for the Spring 2019 cycle application but here's the thread. A little information about me i graduated at the University of Houston Spring 2017 with a bachelors in psychology and minor in psychology. I'm seeking to get a second bachelors degree in nursing. This program is very rigorous and competitive so im nervous about getting in. I'm taking my TEAS by the end of June. Good luck to everyone!

Hi everyone! I'm so glad I came across this forum. I have had the hardest time getting information about this program. I applied for spring 2019 and I noticed my application did not verify my degree. I didn't realize that sooner because my overall status is "verified". Has anyone else had similar issues?

I have 2 degrees. Inside my application, one is verified and the other is not. Not sure if that will be a problem! My overall status is "verified" too.

I'm sure you're fine since you at least have one that is verified! NursingCas said that they aren't required to verify our degrees, which is why our overall status is "verified." I spoke to someone at UH and she said they will call us if they need anything. Hopefully that is true!

Hello, I am really excited for my fiance, as I do more research than here. She has taken her Teas and NCLEX for this program. She scored an 86% on her teas (above 75% in each category) and an 88% NCLEX. Submitted her application a couple months ago. They said you will hear back from us in September after the board reviews the application. If she gets in, I am selling my business in Nevada, moving to Texas to start a new one so she can pursue her dream. She has a bachelor's in Biolgy from the University of Nevada. Extremely smart girl. With 4 years experience as a clinical research coordinator. I am so confident she will get in. Good luck to you all. Keep up the comments to update each other.

Girl me too! I've literally been refreshing my emails a million times because i know it's coming. My friend told me this time last year she got her invitation September 8th so im thinking it's going to be this week.

Hey guys! I also haven't heard anything. :(

Did anyone get a confirmation email from UH directly? My application was verified and submitted to Nursing CAS, but I haven't heard a peep after that. Just wondering if I'm the only one or if this is common.

No,i didn't get a confirmation email. We just get our application verified and wait for an email saying when our interview is! Good Luck! :)

Hey! I haven't really posted in a while but that's because I got accepted to TWU's nursing program for this semester and was really busy already & completely forgot to update! But I have not received an email from UH regarding an interview but if I do, I will not be able to accept it thus opening up another spot for one of you!
