University of Houston 2nd Degree BSN Spring 2019

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone, I'm not sure if anyone has made a thread for the Spring 2019 cycle application but here's the thread. A little information about me i graduated at the University of Houston Spring 2017 with a bachelors in psychology and minor in psychology. I'm seeking to get a second bachelors degree in nursing. This program is very rigorous and competitive so im nervous about getting in. I'm taking my TEAS by the end of June. Good luck to everyone!

Please leave any comments, concerns or any information so we can bond together. :)

Hello! Does anyone know what TEAS score they will accept if you took it twice in a cycle? Is it the most recent, the best, or the first try?

Thanks and good luck!!

I called to clarify, they said twice per version of TEAS. The current version is TEAS 6.

Hey guys, I know a few people posted about this earlier, but has anyone found out what a competitive TEAS score is for this year? 75% is the lowest score we can get to be considered, I think. It's not what makes someone competitive. I wish y'all the best! Get all of your stuff in!!

I really don't know! I have a 90%. Out of all the schools I'm looking at this one seems to be the most secretive.

Hello everyone any updates on the application cycle?

So I took the TEAS three times in this cycle. Does that mean I'm automatically dismissed from the application? I've tried calling them multiple times and I sent them emails but they never seem to reply.

(I took it three times because another school is my top choice and they look at the most recent scores)

Thanks!

According to what people have said they only allow it 2x but I don't want to give you the wrong information. I would say call/email them but i have been having the same issue as you. They don't pick up their calls, they don't answer emails and honestly its very irritating and unprofessional. They really need to get it together.

Yes! I have been emailing and calling since May...

It's so hard to get information from them and they don't post any stats or info that could be helpful for future applicants.

I may just forgo my application for this school. I did well my third time on the TEAS so crossing my fingers I get into my top choice.

Wishing everyone the best! Good luck!! :nurse:

Yeah just submit the application you never know what can happen! I wish you the best as well!

ok, application cycle closes tomorrow. Anyone know when we might start hearing something (anything!) from them??

I was looking at the past forum and it looks like people started getting interviews for the middle of September

Hi everyone! I'm so glad I came across this forum. I have had the hardest time getting information about this program. I applied for spring 2019 and I noticed my application did not verify my degree. I didn't realize that sooner because my overall status is "verified". Has anyone else had similar issues?
