University of Houston 2nd Degree BSN Spring 2019

Hello everyone, I'm not sure if anyone has made a thread for the Spring 2019 cycle application but here's the thread. A little information about me i graduated at the University of Houston Spring 2017 with a bachelors in psychology and minor in psychology. I'm seeking to get a second bachelors degree in nursing. This program is very rigorous and competitive so im nervous about getting in. I'm taking my TEAS by the end of June. Good luck to everyone!

Hey there!

I am also applying to the second degree program at UH Sugarland. They just sent me an email saying that they have received my application so I am just waiting. But I wanted to know if you had any issues faxing your social security release form?

I haven't even submitted my application yet and i haven't done the social security release form. Thanks i also had a question about which test im suppose to take for the TEAS. There is one that says teas for nursing students or psi test site for teas nursing.

I went through ATI testing to take my read out here in Houston and it was $100.

Thank you! And by the way i just submitted my application along with the social security paper this morning. I didn't have any issues faxing the paper as far as i know.

Yes! I got an email stating that they received all the documents required for admission and that they will contact me if they need anything else.

I am scheduled to take my teas tomorrow.. I saw in the email it said: "Exam - Request TEAS VI scores be sent directly to UH College of Nursing, or you may upload your scores in the "Document Upload" section in NursingCAS. You may register to take the examination by contacting ATI. We are looking at multiple areas ~ Science, Reading Comprehension, and your overall composite.The minimum score required is 75% in each section. You are only allowed to take the exam twice."

Does the twice mean for this application period or forever?

I think this is a silly question but I'm not sure.

I also noticed that last year's email from UH included the 75% in each section stipulation while this year's emails have not included that. Does anyone know if the requirement is still the same as last year?

Hi,

I am about to take TEAS in mid July and I was wondering if anyone knows what the class profile was in the previous year in terms of TEAS scores. I know their minimum is 75 in all sections but since it is competitive the number might go higher. Does anyone have any idea of the average TEAS score?

Hello, sorry for the late replies. I think they mean twice for the program but im not sure. I took the test today and didn't do the best so i'm going to retake it again.
