Hello everyone, I'm not sure if anyone has made a thread for the Spring 2019 cycle application but here's the thread. A little information about me i graduated at the University of Houston Spring 2017 with a bachelors in psychology and minor in psychology. I'm seeking to get a second bachelors degree in nursing. This program is very rigorous and competitive so im nervous about getting in. I'm taking my TEAS by the end of June. Good luck to everyone!
Please leave any comments, concerns or any information so we can bond together. :)
Howdy,
I hope everyone is in the best of health and happiness. I've been following this thread for weeks and sitting on the sidelines watching the intensity grow. In the past several days that intensity was elevated to such an extent that I was contemplating on whether to comment or not. When I received my email for an interview last night I decided to create an account and post. As another future fellow classmate pointed out, it is a blessing to have the internet bring us all together throughout this experience and allow us the opportunity to share wisdom and knowledge and even hold "virtual" hands as the quest for admission unfolds.
Step 2, if I understood it correctly is only required of you if you feel you're ineligible due to criminal misconduct, mental illness, chemical dependency (addicted to some drug/substance), etc.
If you want a feel for what to expect during the year-long program and interview, go to YouTube and search Second degree BSN Blessy Oommen. After you watch that video there will be another video on the page called 2nd degree BSN interview by a user called Nursing UH, I found the information in both these videos to be extremely informative as I am a father and had no idea there were mothers with multiple children going through with this rigorous 12 month program.

Hello guys!
I just wanted to drop in and to let you know I just received a invitation to the interview on Sept 21 but I will not be able to attend due to the fact that I am already in TWU Houston's nursing program and plan on staying there lol. I just wanted to update you guys on that since it's getting tense now, but be relieved to know there is at least ONE more spot open for one of you!
Good luck and best wishes!
