University of Houston 2nd Degree BSN Spring 2017

Howdy! I couldn't find a thread started for spring 2017 admissions for U of H so I figured I'd start one. We can share stats and how we are doing through the admissions process.

I'm not super familiar with the UofH nursing program other than I've heard that it is incredibly rigorous since it is condensed into 1 year, which is the main appeal for me! I already spent 4 years in undergrad at tamu for a BS in Health.

I would love to talk to you all going through this same process!!

Howdy! I also have UH as my #1 choice due to being a 1 year program. I graduated from UTSA in 2011 with a BS in Multidisciplinary Science. Best of luck to us.

I also applied to UH for spring entry as well. I am little nervous about it being one year because everything will be fast paced, but we will see. I graduated from UH with my bachelors.

Haven't heard anything new. I just hope it comes slightly early so that I don't have to worry about paying a $500 seat deposit at UTHSCSA.

I haven't heard anything either! Does anyone know when we find out if we've been accepted? I just hope all my materials are good to go!

Still haven't heard anything. On their website it says that we found out if we got accepted in September. Hopefully we hear something soon!

Haven't heard back either, I know some people from last year who talked about finding out like mid September, but I'm not sure if it is the same for this year! I'm super nervous tooo hope to hear soon and good luck everyone :)

Received an email that I was invited to interview day on Sept. 30th. So that means we aren't technically admitted yet? I'll probably be attending UTHSCSA since my seat deposit there is due Sept. 16th. They should have done interviews sooner at UH, because most schools need to know something sooner. I don't want to give up a guaranteed seat when UH isn't a sure thing.

I just received a rejection letter from UH. I'm ok with it because I was accepted at UTMB for Spring 2017. Best of luck to everyone!
