University of Hawaii-MEPN PROGRAM...anyone heard about it?

I'm applying for UH MEPN program for Fall 2009. Has anyone heard about the program? It's fairly new but I just want to know what I'm getting myself into...lol. I know overall, nursing school is tough but would like some feedback on the MEPN program itself.

I had my interview yesterday too. From what I understand they had roughly ~300 applicants, of which only a little more than 1/2 completed and fully submittted the application. My interviewers (I had two, on the phone) let me know that the school intended to interview ALL those who had submitted completed applications. I would think it would be in the schools best interest to only interview top applicants, but hey... I guess its up to them.

So, the interview was pretty straight forward... Only like 5 or 6 questions with an opportunity for us to ask them questions at the end. All and all I think the interview went really well. Best of those luck to those who have yet to interview -- from my understanding of the process yesterday you should be hearing from them shortly.

PL85- Thanks so much for the info, that probably puts those of us at ease who have not yet gotten a phone call for an interview. Hopefully we will all hear something soon!

It's also scary.... I am wondering if my application is complete. According to the school it was and got sent to graduate school to be review but they said I should contact them if to see if anything is missing..... What if they don't pick up?? Oh no......

LannyGirl5- I am right there with you. I also got that e-mail, but now wondering if my application is considered complete too. I sent everything in, but still nervous since I haven't heard from them yet. I may try to call on Monday to make sure my application was considered complete.

I will have a heart attack if they tell me it's not complete! Lets pray = ) I am sure everything will work out for us and we are just over worrying. Thanks PL85 for the information

Wow, this is really good news - maybe there is hope!

I think I'll likely join you in that heart attack, should they tell me my application is incomplete. :/

So I called the school earlier and they confirmed that my application is complete and they still are in the process of ranking all the applicants. They did tell me that they are not aware of the committee interviewing all applicants. So if you did get an interview that means you were rank pretty high. They are not done with interviews yet so lets keep our fingers and toes crossed :coollook:

Yea I did get that email and I got really depressed after reading it. If they send our acceptance or rejection so soon and I havn't been contacted for an interview then the chances of getting one maybe slim. God, I want to go to Hawaii now!!!! But, good luck and continue to have our fingers and toes crossed = )

I truly believe we are all competitive applicants and can bring attributes to the table the university is looking for. :-)

Has anyone had an interview other than the interviews on Feb. 11th??? I thought the interviews went through March and the letters were sent out end of March??? I thought I would at least have an interview... =( If you guys don't mind sharing, those who have had interviews, what were your GPAs??? I have 4.0 in the pre. reqs....
