I wanted to start a forum for those who will be applying to the UCSD New Grad program November 2024.

Do any of you know when is the next new grad residency webinar?

Hi everyone-- I applied to the New Grad Registered Nurse-EC Med/Surg #131619 position, and it says it was referred to the hiring department on 8/21. Do you think it would be unreasonable to check in with someone and see when I should hear from them? The fact that it's for the November cohort makes me think it should be finalized soonish(?)

I'm about to receive a job offer for a position in Salt Lake City (not my first choice), but I can't stop thinking about UCSD....

I'm not sure what's going on but I was also referred to the hiring department for that same position and another one too. I haven't heard anything yet and I'm not counting on it. I wouldn't turn down a sure thing for something that may not pan out. I hope it works out for you either way.

That position closed its application on 8/20 I think. I also was referred. From my experience the ucsd hiring process for the new grad residency is pretty slow moving. It can takes weeks to go from referred to interviewing.

Hi guys, 

I recently had an interview with UCSD PCU and I did the reference but there taking a bit of time to even get back to me. Does anyone know how UCSD rejects there applicants? The status still shows open and consideration for interview.

Hey congrats on the interview! When did you do the reference check? I interviewed on a Monday. Received reference email on that Tuesday and then the following Monday is when I received the offer. Hope this helps!

Thank you! What unit was this for? I'm wondering if it's just different for all unit but I interview last Tuesday and got the reference check on Wednesday! I emailed the nursing manager and she's out of office so I'm wondering if that's why? I just haven't received anything either so I want to be hopeful
