Hello everyone 

I wanted to start a forum for those who will be applying to the UCSD New Grad program November 2024.

Do any of you know when is the next new grad residency webinar?

I haven't seen any updates in my application portal yet. Fingers crossed for everyone who applied! Best of luck to all!

When it says other more competitive, does that mean you were not selected?

If your my status changes to "others more competitive" it means you were not selected to move forward with that unit. 

the job status says open because they haven't filled the position yet.

Has anyone heard anything for ICU, OR, or ED?

My perinatal/NICU changed to "others more competitive" on 7/6, bummer it was my top choice! good luck to everyone who applied hopefully some of us get a change to show we are competitive!

Mine too 😞 I'm so sad. I've worked with newborns for 4 years. I thought that was a lot of experience to help

I just checked mine. It also changed to others more competitive 😞

I just checked mine also. All 7 applications changed to "others more competitive" 😞 I applied to med/tele, PCU, ICU, NICU & oncology.

Also just saw that all 5 of my applications were changed to "others more competitive" (ICU, oncology, 2 ORs, ED). Good luck to whoever is competitive enough.
