University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) MECN 2025

Published

Hi! Just starting this thread for University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) MECN 2025. Good luck!

I've gotten all my decisions back except UCLA, and I'm going crazy! Does anyone know when to expect a decision or when they usually send them out in February?

Yeah, they send them out around feb 28th

Hello everyone, just discovered this thread. Can I be added to the breakout room as well? Also,  I'm a little concerned because when I log into the application portal it's blank and my submitted application is not there . It just says "create a new application". I'm wondering if it's just me or if anyone else is having the same issue ? Does anyone know if we are getting our decisions through there or via an email ?

Hi! I suggest contacting the admissions team to see what happened to your application since you cannot see it. For decisions, they send it via email, but you can also see your application status in the same application site. Just fyi though, last year's applicant saw the decision from the application site before getting an email. Some saw a congratulations message/status in their UCLA account and not in the application link and before getting an email. To get an idea of how it was last year, look up "University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) MECN 2024". You will see the convo from the previous cohort.

Thank you for responding!! I will have to get in touch with admissions to see what is going on.

Has anyone tried contacting admissions to ask about when they would release results?

I sent them an email and they said we should hear back by the end of Feb and then referred to the email they had sent in January LOL. I'm starting to get super nervous as the days go on. Hopefully we all hear good news very soon!

I just called and they said they expect them to come early next week, but they have until the end of the month

Thank you for calling! Hope it's not like last year where it was literally the last day of feb

Hey guys I applied when the application process opened. When will be get a response?

I would love an invite! I am located near K-town in LA. 🙂

Hi everyone! Hope you're all taking care of yourselves!

I'm a current MECN 1 and I remember how stressful the waiting process was this time last year -- you're not alone! Word of advice: I was in the same boat as some of you seem to be... I had heard back from all of the other schools I applied to besides UCLA. Once March 1st came around, I still had not gotten an email and started to panic. To avoid this anxiety (!) I suggest using the student ID number they sent you in a veeeeery early email (maybe even one of the first ones after you submitted your app) and making a temporary account. Note: Former UCLA students won't have to do this. Based on last year, they post updates there before the send any emails to some students!

Feel free to message me if you have any questions (about really anything program-related), good luck! 😊
