What Members Are Saying (AI-Generated Summary)

Members are discussing the application process and status updates for a New Grad RN program at UC Davis Health, specifically focusing on reference checks, interview experiences, and offers for different units like Operation Room (OR). Members are sharing their experiences with reference requests, discussing the possibility of being considered for future cohorts, and seeking advice on starting inpatient versus outpatient roles. Additionally, successful applicants are sharing information about onboarding processes and previous experience in the OR.

I'd like to start a thread to keep updated with everyone's timeline from "Application Received" to "Hired" or anything in between. I didn't see a post and wanted to start one.

I wonder what they will do with us peeps who didn't specify although I'm happy to just get a job

Mine just updated today... saying "No Longer Under Consideration" without any further explanation.... would that be because of what I put in preference? saying "a minimum pay of 70.00 USD per Hour"?

Good luck guys...

It's never worth to put the requested pay in a union hospital, the pay scale is set, and if you're asking for something else they might cycle out your app! Just word of advice, also I would not talk about pay in interview either at non-union hospitals, can discuss with recruiting after receiving an offer if need too.

Hey guys mine still says app under review. Anyone else have theirs updated yet to routed?

Specializes in New Grad BSN, RN.

Mine finally changed to under review yesterday and I did submit the application on last day it was open as I had to re-do my forms. I'm sure they're still getting through many applications.

It's tough finding a new grad position in NorCal 😞

Yes, indeed! And I've lived here my whole life! Have my home/family kiddos so cannot just get up and move away 😭. And it sucks it is so competitive when so many people from around the world come here to this specific location and some already have so many years of experience.

Why don't they just hire US ALL! 😂

Yeppp been licensed since end of January and haven't had one interview! But don't lose hope it takes most new grads at least 4-6months to get a job, there's a few lucky ones (honestly usually they are already working in the hospital and hiring internal is easier than not!).

Has anyone's status changed? I can't help but check every week day LOL
