Hi everyone! Applications for UAMS CRNA for fall 2024 have opened. I was looking for a forum for this application cycle but didn't see one and decided to start one! Planning on applying and was seeing if anyone else was as well. Good luck to everyone!
Hi everyone! I have been following the forum but did not publish until now. I also got an interview invitation last Monday like other people here. I am happy since someone mentioned that if you had not received an invitation by Friday you were 99% rejected.
I encourage all those who got rejected to be courageous and strong! Life will always bring new opportunities!

I'll go first, 5 years as a nurse (Medical IMCU then MICU 1 year, 15 months STICU). CCRN, 3.45 cum, 3.8 science, preceptor and relief charge (Medical IMCU), shadowed 50 hours, ran a covid vaccine clinic for 8 months, CAUTI and Skin committee, 1 mission trip, monthly volunteer at Red Cross teaching basic CPR, took organic chem and grad level statistics.
I did not receive an interview.
1st BSc 3.55 2nd BSN 3.66 5 years of experience ( 5 years ED, 1 year ICU), 2000 hours of community service, volunteer, and internship, preceptor, charge, USGIV trained, 3 grad courses, multiple specialty certifications etc, no leadership in ICU.
I've accepted a seat at my top choice so it worked out.
Hey y'all,
I was looking to apply in a few years. For those of you that have interviews and acceptances, can you tell me some of your stats? What do your resumes look like? I am extremely worried to apply in the future. I Did poorly on my first degree, Biology. Like maybe a 2.1. But, I am working on finishing a BSN with a 4.0. I will be starting work in a trauma ICU and I'm not sure what else I should do to beef up my application. Or should I just give up?
thanks in advance

Dear austintxbsn,
Don't ever give up on your dreams. They are truly there for a reason. Take it one step at a time as this process of applying and receiving acceptance to nurse can be very challenging. In life we always have a chance at redemption and we would all go back in time and do things differently. The beauty of it all sometimes lies in not being able to do things twice. I've been told....the ones who don't get into school are the ones who stop applying. You'll love trauma. Get your BSN and become as informed as possible. Be careful who you share your dreams with. Cling to your support system but please don't ever give up. All the signs will be apparent whether or not CRNA is for you. I do not have time to share my stats but have recently been rejected. Keep pushing and I pray that you don't lose yourself on your way to the top. Cheers and carry on.

Thank you! I have not heard anything. They have my correct email. I received prior communications. Also I called and left a voice mail a week ago. No word. Trying to be patient. ?
