University of Arizona CRNA 2020

Published

Hey All,

I figured I would create this topic in order to start the conversation / share information related to the 2020 University of Arizona CRNA program interviews, acceptance, etc. I personally submitted my application at the end of July and have yet to hear anything, although this is not particularly surprising given that the application cycle only closed yesterday. I will post updates here as soon as I have them...please feel free to reply with our own experience as well!

Invited to interview also! Yay!

I emailed the University. For those of us still waiting, I was told applications are still being reviewed and all applicants will have heard back by mid-October. Keep praying ya'll! There is still a chance we might hear positive news.

For those of you invited to interview, awesome work and good luck with interviews!!

Hi Everyone,

I applied almost in early September and haven’t heard anything. For those who have got interview invites do you mind sharing stats? Thanks and good luck!!

Science GPA 3.8 overall 3.53, 1 year ICU, ACLS Instructor (plus PALS, BLS), CCRN (obviously, that is required) Phi Theta Kappa, Sigma Theta Tau, Student Nurse Association vice president.

Does anyone know anything about the interview and what type of questions to expect? clinical personal etc?

I got offered an interview as well!!! So on the invite letter it says the interview is 20min long and you are allotted 10min after the interview to ask questions yourself.
Says to be prepared to answer how you prepared for the program, clinical experience and how a DNP will help you with you future practice.
I don’t know if they’ll ask clinical questions being the interview is only 20min long.

I’m thinking it’s primarily to get to know you as a person. But I could be wrong!

I’ve applied to Arizona also but I haven’t heard anything back.. I see some people are already getting interviews for the 2020 cohort. Good luck!

They are all done with interviews. I received my denial already. They received qualified 141 apps. It seems like they were really focused on GPAs.

Regina did you interview???

No, I did not get an interview.

Has anyone heard back about decisions in the group that was interviewed?
