Hi everyone! I haven't found a forum for fall 2021 entry of the after degree program at UofA yet so I though I'd start one! I am a current UofA student and have applied at numerous other schools!
I have also heard competitive aGPA is around 3.5, so you can get in with a 3.9 or you could get in with a 3.4, just depends on the year. But, I did hear that GPA is like 70% and casper is worth 30%. So not as heavily weighted, but they brought it into applications for a reason so it will be worth something

Is the aGPA just from the classes required to apply?
so you need to have at least 70% on Physiology I think (maybe anatomy too?). but the required classes only go into your aGPA calculation if they're in your most recent 24 credits. so if you are taking physio and anat now, they will count, but if you took micro bio like 2 years ago then no it won't. hope that makes sense (and I think this is right)!

OK thank you for you help! the university I went to only gave us letter grades so I hope I am OK for that. I took all the required classes in my 2nd and 3rd year so I don't think those will be counting for me. ?
Do they look at last 24 credits that to transfer to UofA or just the last 24 credits?

Oops I meant to also say 70% OR a C+ ! We also only have letter grades at UofA, my bad! And I am unsure of transfer credits but I think there is a section on the admissions website about transfer credits!

Did u hear anything?
In october they said I didn't meet their current qualifications, but that I'm waitlisted. Haven't heard anything since! What about you?
Do we have to upload mid point grades? Some of my classes right now I haven't even had my first midterms.

I heard they only look at GPA, then look at CASPER for red flags etc. (not heavily weighted).
Browsing reddit and other forums, it seems like a 3.5+ aGPA is competitive. Maybe someone heard something (feel free to chime in!)
