Hi everyone! I haven't found a forum for fall 2021 entry of the after degree program at UofA yet so I though I'd start one! I am a current UofA student and have applied at numerous other schools!

Hello everyone,

Please if you plan to take Casper I would advise you book now. The last date is the 28th of February as there is no date for March. After the 28th of February the next available date is April 6th which is U of A's deadline for submission of Casper. Please act fast I just booked my test. Thanks

Hey!

I finished my CASPER in January but my application still doesnt say it is completed (not too sure why)

Also, are they still giving out conditional offers? I didn't receive anything yet ?

hey :) I wouldn't be worried, I know two people who have done the program, one person got accepted February and one didn't get accepted until late June! it can really be any time!

Quick question!

How is AGPA calculated? Is it just the last 2 semesters? Is Winter 2020 included in that?

I'm honestly not sure how they calculate GPA! I have heard that it is based on the last 24 credits. in my letter is says that it is conditional on meeting the competitive GPA with my most recent 24 credits once I get my final transcripts in. So maybe they only saw my fall 2020 and thought I could get an early acceptance? Winter 2020 will for sure NOT be counted, and I can't imagine my fall 2019 + fall 2020 gpas combined getting me in so early!

Awesome! That sucks that Winter isn't included, its my highest semester LOL. Was the offer in an email? or on the LaunchPad?

I know right! It was also my best semester to date! I got an email to check my launchpad. But it was weird for me, my launchpad changed beginning of February and it had comments that made it seem like I had an offer but no way to view anything. And then one night I got an email and there was just a section added about "view update"!

Hi guys, do you know if the date you apply to the program is also taken into consideration for conditional offer? My portal says my transcript and casper test have been received, but I applied in mid Jan 21...getting a bit paranoid lollll. Thanks in advance!!

I think you should be fine! as far as I know, they often start sending offers out beginning of February and can go all the way to June, and you have everything done by the application deadline! I wouldn't worry!

Hi Everyone!!

Im applying as a BC resident and have no clue as into how competitive this program may be and how everything is calculated. I was not even sure if my courses transfer over. 

Any insight to the program would be amazing! 

Hoping to get in so I could experience more to this country!
