University of Alberta After Degree Program Fall 2021

Hi everyone! I haven't found a forum for fall 2021 entry of the after degree program at UofA yet so I though I'd start one! I am a current UofA student and have applied at numerous other schools!

I received my offer of admission last night! I just wanted to say that I applied back in January, wrote my CASPer in February, and had submitted my final transcripts when I applied. I received an offer the day after the document deadline.

Hello, congratulations on your acceptance. I am still waiting for a decision on my application. Do you mind sharing your GPA for the last 24 credits you took, so I may know if I may still have a chance? The wait is nerve wracking really. I keep refreshing my LaunchPad page.

Hey guys, 

I am wondering if anyone knows what the after degree is like? for example the workload, and when the actual practicum starts? I have recently gotten my acceptance but I feel pretty lost LOL

Also if anyone knows how big the classes are going to be?

Hi! I don’t know much either, but I’ve heard the first year, first semester is the worst. And second year in general gets SO much better. In the fall there will be a clinical 5 times the whole semester. Then in the Winter, the actual clinicals start. The main classes seem to be a little over 100 people, while labs and clinicals look more like 8!

So do you know if we essentially stay with the same classmates throughout the 2 years at least in those big classes?

Yes in those big classes everyone will be together for 2 years!

Most of them yes, some are just before clinicals I think

I was in contact with the faculty. The health and safety requirement deadline is October 1.

Thank you ?  My GPA was about 3.8. I enrolled in my classes a few days ago and there are still a lot of spots left so I think that offers might still be being sent out. Good luck!!
