Has anyone done this program? I'm looking into it and it seems great but there are hardly any updates reviews. Thanks!

Each week begins on Tuesday I think (they changed it). However you have 7 days to complete. Each week you'll have a few assignments and synchrony sessions, depends on the class. The synchrony sessions are basically online with the class and professors. Most instructors go over assignments and have open question time. Specifically, pharmacology we had to do 2 ppt presentation on the assigned topic and present it during the synchrony class. Not all classes have quizzes or test but those that do vary. Some are timed and some are not. SN: Purchase a leik or Fitzgerald book now and use it for the studying and quizzes. We had to do the capstone, but they were thinking about taking it away. However, with that paper most classes will have you to do a part of the paper so by the end you only have a little left. Also we had to go on campus twice. The first time was to get checked off for clinicals. You will have a real person to teach you and allow you to do a pap smear, breast and rectal exam. You will also be taught to do a head to toe exam and will be required 1 by 1 to be checked off while speaking out loud. You will have a real person for that one as well. The second campus visit will be learning to suture and radiology reading. Go to you tube and watch all Jessica Nishikawa videos. There are a total of 6. Musculoskeletal, HEENT, Cardiac, Vascular, Resp and neuro. Learn it step by step because you will have to be checked off on 2, everybody have to do neuro and you have to talk and tell what you're doing. You will also have to do a home video for each, so have a family or friend ready to be your patient.

oh that sounds good. Lots of studying is ok with me. Papers make me nervous). Thank you very much for the detailed information. I highly appreciate you.

I always advise against attending for-profit schools not because they do not product quality students but rather the perception. The current trajectory indicates that the schools you attend for your NP program will become a huge factor for employment due to the over saturation of the job market.

I had to respond. Listen everyone! United States University is accredited just like any other university that has an FNP program. Can you say CCNE accredidation? Yes! And it does not matter if they are profit or non profit, what does that have to do with it? It has to do with Cost? They are the most affordable program I found and legit. I will graduate next year. I will take the national board certifying test just like anyone else and with certification can work as an FNP anywhere. The comment that FNP are being saturated? Where? The demand is increasing every year, would like to know where that info came from, there is a shortage of FNP's or any other APRN and continues to be more so every year. I went to a top 20 school for one year and the education is the same. They all have to follow the same class and student objectives, the material is basically the same too. So, you can spent about $30,000, 40,000, 50,000, up to 100,000. You can spent on the higher end going to a non profit too, what does that matter? The program meets all requirements, with new certification may not have national pass rates available yet. Regardless, I have completed over half of the program and it is same as former top 20 school I previously attended. Awesome instructors that are there for you to succeed, excellent experience and being very well prepared for national boards.

Gina. Tried to send you one and it returned it.

Tjwilcock, thanks for your encouraging words. Some people can be very negative. I did my homework before applying to United States university. As far as I am concern, is it forward ever, backward never for me.

Anyone else looking into DNP programs post USU FNP? I know a couple of people who are going on to CHATHAM just curious anyone else's thoughts?

Has anyone graduated from this program?

It’s very chill your first year, but it definitely kicks up a notch 2nd year with clinica is! 135 in 8 w is very hard you end up doing clinic 2-3x a week. If you have any other questions I’ll be happy to answer
