I'm about to take a unit secretary class through the program that the hospital sponsors, is it going to be hard to work part time and study full time in school?
I have 4 classes. Physiology, history, speech, basketball, business. Basket ball isn't really considered to be a unit, but it's a way for me to take the stress of things.

Yes, understand... Glad you have a sport to de-stress! Good for you!
Time manage is the key, plan your study time wisely, (before work/after work) eat well, get enough sleep, put your friends on hold for a while, use flash cards for your science class, and you should do very well... If you feel it's too overwhelming, which it may not be in your case... If you had to drop a course? Drop the one that may not pretain to getting into nursing school to help you keep you focus in the here and now. Watch the "W" deadline too! Sounds like you have it well planned out and you will do awesome! Your classes are a nice balance... and taking just one science is a good idea with the 4. Congrats on your job!!!!! Sounds very exciting! Keep us posted! Blessings~

Hey jtoms!
I found that I was able to work part time while going to school full time when doing pre reqs. I was fortunate though that my work was flexible in giving me time off during finals week. Looking at your course load it looks to be doable. The key is to spend a little time each day in physiology, give it about an hour ever single day so you keep it fresh in your mind without over whelming yourself. Good luck!
