Union University 2019

Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Anyone applying? Just have a few more things to get done then I will submit my application. I have never used Nursing CAS before but kinda like it to apply to the school. Priority deadline is October 15th.

Mine is on Jan. 7th. I've been stressing so hard to get an interview and now I have to go over interview questions. I have heard that the interview is a more get to know you interview, but this is just what I have read. I am still going to do some CCRN type review and brush up on sedation and pressor meds. How are you guys going to prepare? Any tips?

Very laid back interview. It is a get to know you and see if you fit the culture of the program. I interviewed in November for the October deadline. Good luck to everyone that got interviews for the 2nd priority deadline. There will be a final interview period in March as well.

I applied through nursingcas for the CRNA program and have received an interview notice for the 2019 class. Fingers crossed hopefully we all get in and start in 2019.

Hey guys!

So I have been researching affordable housing near Union University and I have found some apartments that are close, but does anybody know about any affordable housing options near campus? For current students, How much are you paying for rent? Is money tight? I was also looking into the graduate married housing on campus. I just wanted to get an idea from current students or those that might be familiar with the area that can help me narrow things down. Any tips will help greatly!!!! Thanks ahead of time!

Rent around here ranges from $700-1000 for apartments depending on how many bedrooms you are interested in. You can rent a small 3 bedroom house for around $1000 as well. Not sure how much on campus housing runs.

Hey guys! Search Union University CRNA Class of 2022 or send me/post your email!

And can someone let me know if it even pops up when you search for it?

I hope you guys got a phone call from Union by now. BTW, if you got accepted, search Union University CRNA Class of 2022 on Facebook.

I found out on Monday that I got an alternate spot. I am not giving up hope just yet. I don't know how many are on the alternate list. Somebody said it might be like 10-15 by the end of all the interviews. Is alternate the same as waitlisted? I'm not sure if alternates are ranked according to their interview score or what? I guess I will find out in March after everybody has been interviewed. Best of luck everybody!

Congrats on landing an alternate spot. Union has a good reputation and is such an affordable program. All of the CRNA Faculty are very nice and knowledgeable. The program is just like a family, and I think this is such a healthy learning environment, where people (staffs and students) support and help each other.

Yes, Alternate = waitlisted. Usually about 10 people, everyone has their own score during the interview, but the school do not share it. When there is an open slot, they will look back your interview again. My advice for you or anyone, who has not make it to any CRNA Program just yet, is to contact the director (for the program you think you will be a good fit) and ask them how to be more competitive. . Good luck and keep us posted

I just applied to the program, I had to wait for my bachelors degree to process before I could submit. I finished my BSN in December and they weren't able to send my transcript until 1/10. I know I have applied for the last deadline. Does anyone have an idea of how many spots are left? Or when the interview notification will be sent?

Thanks!

I spoke with Khadijah today she says there are still spots. More than 1. But i read previously about some wait listing .

Hey guys!

Just checking in! Have any of the alternates heard anything about getting into the program with the 2019 application cohort? Does anybody know if the alternates are looked at again after the last round of interviews take place?

They are still interviewing ppl last round . I guess they might contact alternates after March. Good luck
